An Unfolding Case Study is an interactive self-guided learning experience that simulates a real patient encounter. Each case study consists of a patient encounter where the learner chooses from a list of questions to ask the patient. The patient’s answer then leads to more questions from which the learner chooses, then the patient answers and the process continues. Based on the series of learner questions and the patient’s answers, the case scenario unfolds. Throughout the interview, additional resources and learning activities are offered to assist in learning more about topics that arise in the patient encounter.
